New Customer Success Case: Plywood Shipment From China To Cambodia Via Vietnam Transit

We recently completed a successful plywood export order for a new Cambodian customer, delivering high-quality construction plywood from China to Cambodia with Vietnam transit arrangement. This case shares practical transit customs experience for plywood shipments to help overseas buyers avoid port delays and extra penalties.

During the shipment arrangement, we received official notice from the local Vietnam shipping vendor. Since most local Cambodian clients do not hold valid Vietnamese transit licenses for imported plywood, additional customs handling fees will be charged to waive the license requirement. The official extra cost is 7,020,000 VND per container including VAT, equivalent to approximately USD 270 per container. This mandatory fee allows smooth customs clearance in Vietnam without a valid plywood transit license.

To prevent container storage fees at POT VNSGN port and ensure smooth shipment progress, we timely informed our new customer of the special transit policy and extra charges. The customer fully understood and accepted the cost, allowing us to promptly confirm shipping arrangements and proceed with the next shipment procedures.
