Plain Particle Board

Particle board, also known as particleboard or chipboard, is an engineered wood product, belonging to the wood-based panels, manufactured from wood chips and a synthetic, mostly formaldehyde-based resin or other suitable bonder, which is pressed under a hot press, batch- or continuous- type, and produced.

Lisen can offer many different sizes and thickness of plain particle board, which is well sanded surface and smooth enough for melamine or veneer lam,inated.

Lisen's machine allow us to produce the normal standard size – 1220*2440mm plain particle board also the large size plain particle board, such as 1830*240mm, 1830*2745mm, 2150*2440mm, 2150*2745mm, etc.

Key Characteristics

• Cost-Effective: It is one of the cheapest wood panel options available, costing significantly less than solid wood or plywood.
• Versatility & Workability: It is easy to cut, drill, and shape for mass-produced furniture.
• Vulnerable to Moisture: Unlike solid wood, plain, untreated particle board is highly absorbent. It swells and loses structural integrity if exposed to water or high humidity.
• Weight: It is relatively heavy but weaker and less load-bearing than plywood or MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard).
