Precautions For Using Multi-Layer Boards And Plywood

1. Environmental Control

• Humidity Management: Maintain ambient humidity between 45% and 65%. Avoid prolonged exposure to environments with humidity levels >80% or <30%.

• Temperature Requirements: The ideal storage temperature is between 5% and 35℃. Keep away from heat sources (e.g., maintain a distance of at least 1 meter from radiators).

• Ventilation: Ensure good air circulation. Newly purchased plywood should be left to stand in a well-ventilated environment for 24 hours before use.

 

2.Installation and Construction

• Cutting: Use an 80-tooth or higher alloy saw blade for cutting. Immediately after cutting, seal the cut surface with edge banding.

• Fixing Method: Maintain a nail spacing of 15-20cm, and a distance of ≥1.5cm from the edge of the board. Avoid using a nail gun on plywood with a density >0.75g/cm³.

• Gaps: Leave a 3-5mm expansion joint between boards, and maintain an 8-10mm gap from the wall.

 

3. Surface Protection

• Coating Selection: Use breathable water-based paint; the moisture content should be controlled between 8% and 12% before application.

• Fireproofing: Use B1-grade fire-retardant boards or apply fire-retardant coatings (wet coating weight ≥ 500g/m²) in areas such as kitchens.

• Moisture-proofing: Apply waterproof paint to both sides in bathrooms; seal joints with silicone sealant.

 

4. Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning Method: Wipe with a wrung-out damp cloth; avoid direct washing with water.

• Damage Repair: Scratches less than 0.5mm deep can be treated with a special repair wax; larger damage requires partial replacement.

• Regular Inspection: Inspect the seams and edge sealing every six months; address any peeling immediately.
